The role
About us
Eventide Home Rockhampton has two main units within the facility, the Lodges and the Courts. These units provide residential aged care for general high-care residents, psychogeriatric residents, and dementia residents.
Eventide is an integrated multidisciplinary facility aiming to provide high standards of resident-focused care, which responds to complex care requirements delivered in a timely manner and within available resources. The Courts comprise a 30-bed psychogeriatric, behaviour and dementia high-care residential unit, while the Lodges comprise three units making up 50 beds of general high-care residential units.
About the role
- Provide leadership and direction for the unit, ensuring services and outcomes meet legislative, professional, and best practice standards.
- Coordinate, formulate and direct evidence-based policies and procedures for the clinical specialty which reflect current trends relating to the provision of nursing care by integrating resident (patient/client) care across the continuum of care.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of contemporary and emerging evidence and trends that will guide the management and development of the unit.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and participate directly and/or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care.
About you
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate qualification would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a nursing team in a multidisciplinary environment utilising the principles of contemporary human, material, and financial resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, implement and evaluate strategies designed to improve healthcare services.
What we offer
- Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 per hour.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
