An excellent role is available for a Clinical Nurse Educator specialising in Scrub/Scout to support the Operating Theatres Team at a private hospital in Sydney. This is a permanent part-time (48 hours per fortnight) opportunity.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team.
You will be:
* Delivering high-quality, evidence-based training and support to the staff in the Theatres Department;
* Developing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs across the facility;
* Providing valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager - Scrub/Scout, you will be performing duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the hospital.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will have:
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* Minimum 4 years’ experience within the area of Scrub/Scout;
* Postgraduate qualification in the specialty area;
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable;
* Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional;
* Team leading experience;
* Excellent time management skills and well-developed clinical problem-solving skills.
* A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance.
