Our services span from initial planning and investment, through start-up and operations.The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah – Riyadh highway.Job Summary:In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for a gold processing plant and it’s supporting infrastructure. For select areas of the project, you will be responsible for design progress and measurement, participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.This is a fulltime position with possible work from home options as per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with function or project leadership.Major Responsibilities:Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a mediumsized project, or a small project of greater complexity, ordesignated portions of a project with minimal to moderate complexityfor a global business unitPlans and directs engineering assignments on the projectPossesses technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing,executing, and coordinating these assignmentsEnsures the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, andefficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicablelaws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards andtechnical requirementsRepresents Engineering on the project and with the client toresolve technical questions, expedite procurements, coordinateconstruction interfaces and as required to coordinate workEnsures work process execution and technical adequacy are inaccordance with contract and industry standardsCoordinates engineering effort with Project Manager,Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety andHealth (ES&H) and Project ControlsPrepares or directs the preparation of project studies, reports,forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data bookEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience, RPEQ preferred.Required Knowledge and SkillsExperience with minerals handling process plant design, specifically slurry pumping and handling, conveyor, chute, tank sizing and selection calculations.Experience with Bid Evaluate Award processes, specifically equipment datasheet, specification, material requisition and technical bid evaluation of vendor equipmentComputer skills including competence in MS Office suite and other common softwareFlexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks and proven experience working in a dynamic multi-discipline team environmentAnalytical problem-solving capabilitiesDemonstrated skills in oral and written communicationThere are many reasons why choosing to join Bechtel is one of the best career decisions you will ever make.
