The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager with NDIS Administration Oversight to join our dynamic and supportive team on a part-time basis, working 25 hours per week. This dual-focused role combines financial management with the responsibility of overseeing NDIS claims and processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Reporting to the Managing Director and advisory board, the successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the organisation's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and auditing. The position offers flexibility to work either 3 full days or 4 shorter days, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and management of budgets and financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and manage financial risks effectively.
* Manage NDIS claims, audits, and participant data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NDIS processes.
* Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement long-term financial strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
* Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
* Identify and implement improvements to financial and NDIS administration processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Certificate IV Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 2+ years of proven experience as a Finance Manager
* In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and legal regulations.
* Membership with AHRI - AHRI CPHR certification preferred.
* Driver's License
* NDIS Clearance
* First Aid Certificate.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing a finance team.
* Advanced proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
