Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

The Senior Communications Officer supports the delivery of internal and external communication activities that help inform, engage, and connect staff and stakeholders. The role involves writing, editing, and publishing content across a variety of channels, supporting events and campaigns, and assisting with digital media and content creation. Working as part of a team, the Communications Officer helps ensure communication is timely, clear, and aligned with organisational goals and standards.
We're a full-service Communications and Engagement team, covering everything from planning and strategy, to writing, brand and design, digital content, website development, internal communications, public relations and media, and campaign delivery. No two days are the same, and we enjoy solving problems creatively, responding quickly when things change, and producing work that genuinely makes a difference.
Key Responsibilities include:
Write engaging content for digital and traditional media channels to appeal to a broad range of demographics
Draft content for internal communications to build on and support Sunshine Coast Health's culture
Find innovative ways of promoting health service functions to the people who use our services
Create digital content including desktop publishing, video content, and photography and optimise for expanded reach and engagement.
Remuneration value up to $131,052 p.a., comprising salary between $105,568 - $114,861 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO5). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
