Seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Mental Health Nursing Specialist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care for individuals with mental health issues.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified individual/group health outcomes. They will also provide leadership and care coordination across a shift, acting as a resource to other members of staff within a designated portfolio.
In this role, you will be accountable for the planning, provision, and communication of nursing care, including the evaluation and required revision of practice. To be successful in this position, you will require current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same. You will also need to have demonstrated well-developed knowledge, skills, and experience in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery, with depth in some areas and a broad range of skills.
You will be expected to act as a clinical resource person and role model, mentoring and preceptoring less experienced staff and students. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of local activities beyond direct client care, such as clinical education, management, research/quality assurance activities.
