Civil Engineer Position
Northrop is currently looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join their team in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering various built form and urban development projects, managing projects and delivery of engineering investigation, assessment, and design and construction management documentation across a range of sectors. They will also design roads, bulk earthworks and drainage, and manage and communicate project requirements to sub-consultants, contractors, architects and developers.
We want the ideal candidate to have a bachelor degree in civil engineering, demonstrated experience within a tier 1 and/or tier 2 engineering consultancy, minimum 3 to 5 post-graduate years of experience as a competent consulting engineer, and experience in preparing detailed design and documentation of roads, intersections, pavements, earthworks, and stormwater drainage.
The successful candidate must also be able to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time, whilst working autonomously, have a good understanding of local government regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements, and possess competent and independent use of civil modelling software such as 12D Model and/or Civil 3D.
