Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a Dance Teacher for our client, First State Allstars
First State Allstars is the MidNorth Coasts leading Allstar Cheer and Dance program dedicated to developing confident, skilled, and passionate athletes. Our teams compete at a high level across NSW, with a strong reputation for excellence, teamwork, and fun. We're excited to expand our Dance Program in Kempsey and are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dance Teacher to join our coaching family.
About the Role
You will work alongside another passionate Dance Teacher to deliver high-quality dance training to athletes of all ages and levels. This role involves developing and leading a competitive dance team that will represent First State Allstars at competitions in Sydney alongside our Cheerleading teams.
The ideal candidate will be confident coaching independently, uphold a high standard of performance, and foster a supportive, positive, and motivating environment for athletes.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, technically strong, and age-appropriate dance classes.
* Choreograph competitive routines that meet scorecard criteria (training provided).
* Prepare athletes for local and state competitions.
* Work collaboratively with the coaching team to grow and strengthen the Dance Program.
* Maintain a fun, inclusive, and encouraging training environment.
* Build positive relationships with athletes and parents.
* Support athlete development both technically and personally.
Requirements:
* Experience teaching or coaching dance (all styles welcome – jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, or pom an advantage).
* Ability to work independently and uphold high standards of training and performance.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to athlete wellbeing, progression, and enjoyment.
* Availability for weekly classes and competition travel (Sydney-based events).
* Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
* First Aid Qualification (or willing to obtain)
* Ability to provide two work references
