The role of Operations Supervisor entails overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, guiding, and decision-making for workshop operations, managing field service, and staff to deliver outcomes within timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule routine maintenance and servicing of machinery, allocating resources accordingly.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and business divisions.
* Manage purchasing and quoting processes for parts and services.
* Organize and lead team meetings to provide guidance on workshop operations.
* Ensure a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Maintain low maintenance costs while supporting operational requirements.
Requirements
* Previous experience in supervising and managing teams and operations.
* Trade-qualified diesel fitter or equivalent experience.
* Desirable experience in quarry, mining, civil, trucks, or light vehicle equipment.
* Strong emphasis on quality control and safety practices.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
* Proven ability to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including utilization, rework, and profitability.
