Job Title: Plumber - Water Team

About the Role
The Plumber within our water team plays a key role in coordinating major maintenance and breakdowns, as well as planned works on our water infrastructure.
You will coordinate site access, permits, safety, and statutory permissions to perform maintenance activities.
Additionally, you will provide on-site supervision of staff and contractors to ensure works are carried out in accordance with specifications.
About You
* You must have a Trade qualification in Plumbing with experience in water reticulation.
* You should also possess a Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
* A Current C Class Driver's Licence is required.
* You need to be competent in Confined Space Entry.
* Training in Traffic Management Implementation is necessary.
* You must be able to supervise asbestos removal and have suitable experience in removing asbestos piping.
* You should be able to work as part of a team to ensure that interruptions to water supply to Council customers are avoided or rectified quickly and efficiently.
* You will require well-developed supervisory and leadership skills.
* Strong community and customer relations skills are essential.
* You must have a strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-discrimination, and privacy obligations, as well as the QLD Local Government Act.
* Significant relevant knowledge and demonstrable experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution are necessary.
