About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Narrabri. This is a full-time role offering a mix of workshop and field service work, supporting a modern fleet across multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
* Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
* Perform field service work and emergency breakdown support on‐site
* Rebuild components and conduct mechanical inspections
* Maintain accurate records using electronic job and maintenance systems
* Manage parts and consumables
* Liaise with supervisors and clients to schedule work and ensure timelines are met
* Maintain safety standards, tools, and workspaces
What We're Looking For
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Proven experience with heavy diesel equipment, plant or fleet maintenance
* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Current Class C driver's licence (HR licence preferred)
* Willingness to travel to worksites as required
* Excellent communication and time management skills
Desirable (Advantageous)
* Civil construction or mining industry experience
* Experience using CMMS or digital maintenance systems
