About the role
Our growing team is looking for skilled and experienced Machine Operators and Concreters to join our team at APX Civil Pty Ltd in Yallah, NSW.
This is a casual position, with the opportunity to progress for the right candidate, that will see you operating a range of plant and machinery to support our civil construction projects. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our equipment to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operators:
* Safely operate plant and equipment, including excavators, posi track/bobcats, and loaders.
* Carry out bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, and final trim (GPS preferred but not essential)
* Conduct daily pre-starts and basic maintenance of machinery
Concreters:
* Formwork, pouring, finishing, and curing concrete
* Set-out and preparation for concrete works
* Use of hand tools and machinery to achieve high-quality finishes
General Duties:
* Work closely with supervisors and site crews to meet project deadlines
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Adhere to all WHS policies, procedures, and site requirements.
About you:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Machine Operator in the civil construction industry
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a concreter in the construction industry
* Proven ability to safely and competently operate a range of plant and machinery
* Sound mechanical knowledge and experience in carrying out routine maintenance
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Tickets and licences for all relevant machinery. (SOA and VOC)
* Current and valid driver's licence (HR truck licence preferred but not essential)
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
* Strong work ethic and reliability
