**The Position**
Reporting to the Finance Director based interstate with a dotted line to the QLD General Manager, you will form part of the local management group and oversee the commercial finance functions relating to the QLD operations. As a finance business partner, you will play a vital role in driving the financial success of the organisation. You will be responsible for partnering with various business units and senior stakeholders to provide financial insights, analysis and recommendations.
This is a highly visible and influential role that requires a combination of strong financial acumen, business partnering skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced group level environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, guide and mentor a team of four
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support to drive key business decisions
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives
- Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports, including analysis of actual versus forecast
- Provide guidance on pricing, profitability analysis and cost optimization
**Skills and Experience**
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience in a senior finance related role with a commercial focus
- Demonstrated people leadership abilities and experience
- Solid communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience operating as a business partner to operational stakeholders
