Make a Difference at The Salvation Army's Sunrise Centre
Are you a compassionate and skilled psychologist looking to make a real impact? Do you believe in the power of transformation and second chances? The Salvation Army invites you to join our dedicated team at the Sunrise Centre Alcohol and Other Drugs Rehabilitation Program in Darwin.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at Sunrise Centre, Berrimah and is paid above award.
Your Role
As a Psychologist At The Sunrise Centre, You Will
* Provide evidence-based psychological services to clients facing substance use challenges.
* Conduct assessments, diagnoses, case formulation, and treatment tailored to individual needs.
* Implement psychometric assessments to guide effective interventions.
* Exercise independent judgment in applying psychological principles to real-world challenges.
* Consider clients' mental health, substance use, social history, and legal background to provide holistic support.
What You Need
* A degree in Psychology with registration as a General or Clinical Psychologist (or other endorsement) with AHPRA.
* Experience and/or knowledge in Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD).
* Understanding of AOD, community services, and health sectors (preferably in a residential treatment setting).
* A current National Police Check & Working with Children Check.
* A valid First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
* A current Northern Territory Driver's License.
* Eligibility to work in Australia.
