Management Accountant
This established and rapidly expanding manufacturing business is well reputed for delivering high-quality food products to various retail and FMCG businesses. With a strong focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, the business is continuing an exciting phase of growth and transformation. This role will suit an experienced Management Accountant or Senior Financial Analyst who is results-oriented and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
Your new role
Lead the month-end close process and deliver accurate results, including preparing journals, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
Produce and distribute management accounts with performance commentary for the senior leadership team
Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis for the senior leadership team
Prepare monthly GST, assist with annual income tax requirements, and liaise with external tax advisors.
Coordinate internal and external audit requests
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide insights on key cost areas, including inventory management, freight/3PL costs, and Opex spend
Analyze freight and 3PL charges, challenging vendor billings where needed
Your experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Financial Analyst role
Previous experience in the manufacturing, trade/distribution, or FMCG industry highly regarded
Exceptional communication and business partnering skills
Results-oriented with a consultative and solutions focused approach
Must be available to work full time in the office
