About the Organisation
This Australian manufacturer operates within the animal health, nutrition and agricultural sector, supplying highly specialised products across pet care, wildlife, veterinary, zoo and farming markets.
With a portfolio of over 300 products and a strong reputation for quality and innovation, the business holds a unique position in several niche categories, often as the sole provider of specific formulations.
With established demand both locally and internationally, the organisation is now entering a new phase of growth, investing in brand, digital capability and expanded distribution. This creates a significant opportunity to scale how products are positioned, distributed and adopted across Australia and global markets.
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for driving commercial growth by strengthening distribution, improving product adoption and building scalable sales channels across both domestic and international markets.
Initially focused on Australia, you will expand distribution coverage and increase product penetration across key sectors, while also identifying and building export partnerships to unlock international growth.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of distribution strategy, product commercialisation and market development, suited to someone who enjoys building, shaping and scaling how a business grows.
The Opportunity
* Expand and strengthen distribution networks across Australia, with a focus on high-growth regions
* Increase product penetration and adoption across veterinary, retail, wildlife and agricultural channels
* Identify gaps in distribution and implement practical solutions to improve reach and availability
* Develop and execute route-to-market strategies across different customer segments and geographies
* Build and manage international distributor partnerships, particularly across Asia
* Open new export markets with a focus on sustainable, recurring revenue streams
* Translate a complex product portfolio into clear, commercially compelling offerings
* Identify opportunities to simplify, bundle or reposition products to drive uptake and repeat purchasing
* Build and manage a structured sales pipeline, including forecasting and performance tracking
* Establish scalable processes for distributor management, sales tracking and ongoing growth
About You
* You may bring experience in business development, commercial, sales or distribution roles
* You have likely worked in environments where you have built or expanded markets, rather than maintained existing accounts
* You bring experience working with distributors, channel partners or route-to-market models
* You have demonstrated success opening new regions, segments or customer channels
* You are comfortable translating products into clear commercial value propositions
* You may have experience across domestic and international markets, including export or distributor-led growth
* You are confident working in environments with limited structure, where you are required to build processes and frameworks
* You bring strong commercial thinking, with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution
* You are comfortable engaging directly with customers, partners and internal stakeholders
* Experience within animal health, agriculture, veterinary or adjacent sectors is highly regarded, though not essential
