The work area
Working closely with other business areas within Treasury and Finance (DTF), the Analytics, Digital Transformation and Strategic Projects Directorate leads the production of influential data analytics that has direct impact on the State Budget; provides leadership in driving digital transformation across government including the provision of digital investment advice; and delivers whole-of-government/cross agency policy projects.
The opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, future focussed and innovative minded individual to lead the Analytics, Digital Transformation and Strategic Projects Directorate.
Reporting to the Assistant Under Treasurer Advisory Services, this position will lead a diverse team of experts in the delivery of analytics, digital transformation, and strategic projects functions for DTF.
This will include leading DTF's involvement in whole of government data linkage, analytics and Artificial Intelligence matters; and review and assessment of agency and whole of government ICT and digital transformation investment and/or policy proposals as well as leading the provision of quantitative analysis and modelling related to expenditure of government agencies, services and programs.
The successful applicant must also be someone who:
has significant experience in leading complex and influential policy and quantitative analysis advice and in leading complex projects across government;
seeks and develops strong and strategic networks and relationships with key stakeholders and agencies to ensure understanding of the needs and interests of internal and external stakeholders; and
understands political, social and environmental trends and impacts on work and understand and recognise the needs of others and leverage relationships for desired outcomes.
