A career opportunity has emerged in our head office for an Underground Consulting Manager to join our busy Underground Consulting team. You will co-manage the daily operations of the Underground Consulting Team, maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and our team of consultants. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical experience and hone your people management skills, while contributing to business growth and using your industry network in a high-performing, supportive and inclusive culture.
In this role, you will work closely with the existing Underground Consulting Manager, as well as the COO and other managers to deliver value to AMPS clients and AMPS people.
You will:
Co-Lead, mentor and project manage a diverse team of underground mining engineers at various levels in their careers, ensuring that client expectations are balanced with employee skills and experience.
Work with employees to ensure they are aligned with the AMPS values and expected behaviours.
Design, develop and implement business development activities and strategies to maximise growth, aligned with overall business strategy.
Work closely with your co-manager to recruit, develop and upskill the next generation of AMPS engineers
Be responsible for accurate and timely administration of projects, consultant site access and mobilisation, employee timesheets, payroll and client invoicing.
About you
Bachelor's degree in mining engineering with 8+ years operational experience
Strong team leadership and people management skills
Well-networked, with a demonstrated track record of strong and positive relationships within the mining industry in WA
A great communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills
