We are currently seeking HR Driver to join our transport team in Warrnambool, Victoria.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles for local livestock transport in a safe and efficient manner.
* Load, unload, and handle livestock in accordance with animal welfare standards and company procedures.
* Assist with yard operations, including livestock movement and preparation for transport.
* Conduct pre-start checks and basic vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or maintenance issues promptly.
* Follow designated routes, schedules, and operational instructions.
* Comply with all road safety regulations, fatigue management requirements, and company policies.
* Participate in structured training, mentoring, and competency assessments.
* Progress through the development pathway from HR to HC/B-Double and eventually B-Triple operations.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transport activities.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and stakeholders.
Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement within the transport team.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
* Current HR Driver Licence.
* Demonstrated safe driving record and strong awareness of road safety practices.
* Ability to handle livestock or willingness to learn animal handling techniques.
* Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
* Willingness to learn and commit to a structured career progression pathway.
* Good understanding of or ability to learn fatigue management and compliance requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication skills with supervisors and team members.
Physically capable of performing manual tasks related to loading/unloading livestock.
