What you will do as the Senior Human Resources Officer, Capability
The AER Legal, Corporate and Information Services Division partners with AER and ACCC colleagues to advise on and enable corporate outcomes. We ensure that the agency and our stakeholders have the information and services they require now, and in the future, to make robust decisions and take timely, effective action. The division's remit includes Legal Services, People and Culture, Finance, Strategy and Performance, Risk Management, Procurement, IT and Data Governance, and Governance functions.
The People and Culture team currently works in partnership with the ACCC People Branch to deliver people related functions and initiatives to the AER. In preparation for legal separation from the ACCC, the AER People and Culture team are developing the capabilities, frameworks, structures, systems, processes and resources required to deliver the HR function as a standalone service.
As the Senior Human Resources Officer, Capability, you will manage the day‐to‐day operations of the AER's learning function. This includes ensuring the appropriate systems, practices, tools and guidance are available to effectively identify and implement learning and capability solutions in the AER. You will apply your specialist knowledge of the APS capability frameworks to develop and deliver on learning and development plans and programs. You will role model exceptional client service to support AER people to develop the capabilities the AER needs to deliver its strategic plan.
* Manage the Capability Team, including the following day‐to‐day activities:
o Identify, plan and deliver on workforce plans and capability development frameworks to address workforce capability gaps.
o Coordinate and promote capability development opportunities, within identified budget and timeframes.
o Oversee the administration of the AER's online learning management system, including maintaining the AER's digital learning catalogue.
o Oversee the delivery of the AER Graduate Program.
* Support the Assistant Director, Recruitment, Capability and Planning to develop and deliver the workforce plans, capability frameworks, programs and the Capability Team's work plan.
* Collaborate with key AER stakeholders to identify, develop, deliver and maintain learning and capability solutions that will develop the capabilities the AER requires to deliver its strategic plan.
* Support, advise and influence employees and managers on capability related matters, policies and procedures.
* Undertake other duties, as required.
About You
* Specialist knowledge of and demonstrated ability to develop and uplift organisational capability.
* Demonstrated ability to collate and assess information to develop, deliver and maintain capability development initiatives, including leadership development.
* Demonstrated experience providing exceptional client service, preferably in a relevant human resources field.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field such as psychology or be working towards, or willingness to gain professional accreditation in Human Resources.
Salary: $102,947 - $115,384 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
