We're working with a well-regarded business in the resources sector, known for its down-to-earth culture and long-term stability. They are looking for a capable and hands‐on Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of the Accounts Payable function.
This is largely a standalone AP position, suited to someone who enjoys taking responsibility and working closely with the wider finance team.
A bit about the role:
* Take ownership of the day‐to‐day Accounts Payable function
* Ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and on time
* Manage reconciliations, reporting, and supplier statement reviews
* Build and maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
* Contribute to month‐end close activities where required
* Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and system efficiencies
* Support ongoing optimisation of finance systems and workflows
What they're hoping you'll bring:
* Around 4+ years' experience in a busy Accounts Payable environment
* Strong understanding of the end‐to‐end procure‐to‐pay cycle
* Confidence managing an AP function with a high level of ownership
* Strong systems and technical capability, with the ability to work comfortably across finance systems
* Experience with SAP ERP, with SAP S/4HANA highly regarded
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions‐focused mindset
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
