About the Role
As a Head Gardener, you'll be responsible for ensuring our client's standards of garden maintenance are met and exceeded. We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and motivated Head Gardener to work at Melbourne's St Kilda Botanical Gardens.
Responsibilities
* Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
* Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
* Interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.
About You
* MUST have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens
* Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
* National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
* White Card
* Valid Drivers' license (Manual)
* Team player with excellent communication skills
