About the Role:
The Department of Neonatology is home to the ACT and surrounding NSW's only tertiary-level 5–6 neonatal service, offering cutting-edge, compassionate care for our tiniest patients and their families. Our comprehensive service includes the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Special Care Nursery (SCN), ACT NETS retrieval service, Newborn and Parent Support Service (NAPSS), and the Newborn Growth and Development Clinic. With 36 funded beds and around 3,800 births annually at CHWC, we care for 750–800 neonatal admissions each year in a technologically advanced, developmentally supportive, and family-centred environment.
NICU and SCN are proud to be family-integrated units where collaboration, innovation, and excellence in care are at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated team works closely to achieve the best outcomes for neonates and their families, supported by experienced Clinical Support and Clinical Development Nurses who are committed to your growth and success.
