Kitchen Cook / Café All-Rounder – Neck of the Woods Café
Neck of the Woods is a busy, community-focused café in North Nowra. We're looking for a hands-on Kitchen Cook (not a chef role) who genuinely enjoys cooking, food preparation and working as part of a small, supportive team.
About the role
* Prep and cook our café menu items to a consistent standard.
* Follow recipes and instructions to ensure quality, portion control and presentation.
* Keep the kitchen clean, organised and well-stocked throughout service.
* Work quickly and calmly during busy periods.
* Support minor front of house duties when needed – taking orders, running food and drinks, clearing tables and jumping in where the team needs you.
About you
* You enjoy cooking and food preparation and take pride in what you put on the plate.
* Organised, clean and safety-conscious in the kitchen.
* Fast and efficient, with good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Able to follow instructions and café systems while also using your initiative.
* A quick learner who is happy to help with basic front of house tasks and deliver friendly customer service.
* Reliable, punctual and a genuine team player.
Role details
* Casual position with regular shifts (daytime hours only – no nights).
* Café hours are Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:00pm (latest finish usually 2:30pm) and Saturday 7:00am–11:30am.
* Weekday and some Saturday availability required.
* Training provided on our menu, systems and front of house processes.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
