Are you a Senior Social Worker, Clinical Psychologist or Senior Psychologist, with experience supporting people who have been impacted by violence, abuse and neglect? Do you have crisis-counselling skills and are open to a collaborative approach in complex situations? Are you passionate about supporting people throughout their healing journey? Are you an inspiring leader with a passion for wellbeing and a drive to improve systems that support positive client outcomes?

Then you could be the perfect Senior Health Clinician to join the professionals at the Joint Child Protection Response Team who cover the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).

This is a wonderful opportunity to join and lead the busy and dynamic JCPRP Health team. The Senior Health Clinician provides crisis counselling, psychoeducation, psychosocial assessment and referrals, and demonstrates a commitment to quality improvement and project work, upholding policy and procedure whilst leading a team, and is motivated to foster complex relationships to achieve positive outcomes for clients. JCPRP Health staff work collaboratively with JCPRP tri-agency partners, NSW Police and Department of Family and Community Services in Illawarra and Shoalhaven to promote healing, recovery and wellbeing.

In addition, note you must have the following essential requirements:

· Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive practice experience in a health-related field in conducting crisis interventions and counselling

· Proven ability working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, within a cross-agency environment

· An extensive specialist knowledge of child protection issues surrounding child sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect of children and family violence; and familiarity with NSW Child Protection Legislation and NSW Health Guidelines.

· Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice and clinical consultation within child protection field, and undertake duties of an innovative or critical nature without direction.

· Knowledge and understanding of the impacts of trauma on the brain and body.

· Understands the impact of colonisation, patriarchy and other social political systems that have impacted First Nations Australians experience of violence and abuse ISLHD is an equal opportunity employer.
