About the role
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests? We are seeking a full-time Front Office Reception/ Guest Services Agent to join the team at Quest Cheltenham in Cheltenham VIC 3192. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience for all guests, ensuring their needs are met throughout their stay.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and checking in guests promptly and professionally
* Handling guest enquiries and requests in a courteous and efficient manner
* Assisting guests with luggage, directions, and local area information
* Maintaining accurate records and reports relating to guest stays and financial transactions
* Assisting with the general upkeep and presentation of the hotel reception area
* Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues as required
* Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
* Work with sales team to convert enquiries
* Site walks
* Catering and conferencing
* Maintaining stationary and office supplies
* Coordination of couriers and mail
* Accurate and efficient management of information
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in front office or reception
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and helpful demeanour
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities
* Proficiency in using technology and hotel management systems
* Proficiency in using technology including Microsoft Office and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS). Experience with cash handling procedures
* A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Must be available for rotating roster
* Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
This role requires confidence - excellent sales and organisational skills with the ability to multi task.
