About this Opportunity
Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers quality professional counselling services in various locations. This position focuses on delivering mental health and therapy services to disadvantaged individuals.
The Role involves conducting comprehensive client assessments, developing case plans, and ensuring appropriate referrals according to the client's needs. The successful candidate will also assess support requirements and facilitate groups as needed.
* Assess clients' needs and develop individualised care plans.
* Provide high-quality counselling services to clients with complex needs.
* Foster strong relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery.
* Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to organisational improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* To conduct comprehensive client assessments to inform the development of a case plan or appropriate referrals.
* To assess supports and ensure they are appropriate to meeting client's needs. Refer and assist clients to access appropriate mainstream specialist services and support groups.
* To be able to respond appropriately to client in crisis.
* To facilitate groups as required.
Selection Criteria
* Provisionally/registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse - all registered with AHPRA.
* Social Worker - eligible for AASW registration.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated experience in working with children and families with complex needs.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge.
