Project Management Opportunity
As a seasoned project manager, you will oversee the execution of various project contracts and serve as the key point of contact for contractors and consultants. You will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of major projects, ensuring a high level of professionalism and experience in negotiating contract deliverables, monitoring KPIs, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
The company you will work with is an established Australian organization with a long history of successfully supporting the growth and development of local industry. They operate from their modern office in Melbourne, overseeing a range of capital works & remediation projects, and maintaining a variety of transport and civil infrastructure, drainage, and commercial/industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end Project Management of projects, from inception to completion, within budget, meeting quality standards, and in a sustainable manner.
* Lead contract/commercial negotiations with design and construction teams, as part of the contract execution process.
* Scope, plan, schedule, and manage projects to ensure all stages, including project evaluation, estimation, board approvals, implementation, legal negotiations, contract administration, site supervision, and cost control are effectively executed.
* Safety leadership through setting and managing safety expectations internally and externally.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated expertise in delivering multi-disciplined buildings, demolition, civil, and marine infrastructure projects.
* Extensive experience in engineering project management, while coordinating and managing resources for successful delivery.
* Proven ability to negotiate contracts for both procurement and provision of engineering, construction, and demolition services with a focus on risk management and value exchange.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and management.
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
