Photo Lab / Digital Press Printer Operator
The School Photographer – Cairns North QLD
We are looking for a dedicated person to join our School Photo Lab.
Ideal applicants will be fit, enthusiastic, flexible, highly organised and have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and be willing to obtain a Working with Children Card (Blue Card).
The position involves the printing of bulk School Photo Packages and associated products.
There is frequent bending and lifting involved.
Silver Halide Photo Lab experience as well as experience with Digital Presses would be an advantage, as would colour correcting and Adobe Photoshop experience.
Full training will be provided for the successful applicant.
Some of the duties involved are:
* Startup, calibration, operation and maintenance of Silver Halide (wet chemical) Fuji Frontier Printers
* Startup, calibration and operation of Konica Minolta Digital Presses
* Laminating
* Colour Correction of Portrait and Group photos
* Operation of Silver Recovery equipment
* Frequent unloading and storage of pallets of heavy photo-paper boxes.
The position is based in Cairns and offers work on a full-time basis.
This position is not suitable to students due to the requirement of a 38 hour week, Monday to Friday.
Commencement date is February 2026.
