About the role:
Victoria Police Recruiting Services Branch are responsible for the ongoing recruitment of Sworn Police and Protective Services Officers into Victoria Police. As the successful applicant you will assist in receiving, processing and assessing applications for employment with Victoria Police by applying rules and standards in accordance with approved and established recruitment policies and procedures.
This is an exciting time to join Victoria Police as we are working in one of our busiest Police recruitment campaigns yet. Recruiting Services Branch is looking for enthusiastic Recruitment Coordinators with a history of providing excellent customer service, an understanding of candidate care and strong written communication skills to join the expanding team. This is no regular recruitment opportunity, as you will become a part of the recruitment process focused on screening and selecting the new generation of Police Officers and Protective Services Officers for Victoria Police. 1. VPSG-3 range $73,842 - $89,661 + superannuation + leave loading
2. Various fixed term positions (including 1 x fixed term until 31/10/2024)
3. Working within the Recruiting Services Branch, Recruitment & Deployment Division, located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

Your duties will include:
4. Day-to-day administrative tasks as required.
5. Reviewing and assessing applications.
6. Vetting of documents and databases.
7. Drafting reports with recommendations.
8. Dealing with applicant enquires and providing advice on process.
9. Maintaining systems and databases.
10. Research and vetting into applicants' suitability.
11. Analysing information and probing for facts.
12. Writing triage reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders' consideration.
13. Liaising with stakeholders.
14. Providing advice on selection processes.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
15. Demonstrated office support experience with the ability to effectively perform and coordinate administrative and customer service tasks.
16. Proven ability to respond flexibly to client needs, providing advice and solutions in a polite and considerable manner.
17. A Fitness qualification would be desirable, however is not mandatory.
18. An understanding of Victoria Police Intelligence assessment tools.
19. Well-developed data entry skills with experience in the maintenance of comprehensive records (manual and computerised) and reports.
20. Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team.
21. Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and a high-level attention to detail.
22. Demonstrated experience with managing and end-to-end recruitment function.
23. Ability to draw inferences from various sources to make a recommendation.
24. Proven track record in interpreting and applying knowledge of recruitment legislation policies and procedures.
