Purpose of the role
* As a member, you will commit to responding to incidents and emergencies, attending regular drills and training sessions, and obtaining necessary certifications.
The agency delivers high-quality services through effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities.
Key requirements
* You must be eligible to hold a current Blue Card.
* Employer's consent may be required for incident attendance.
* You should live or work within a reasonable distance of the emergency station.
* Australian Permanent Resident Status is mandatory.
* A manual C Class driver's licence is also required.
Your key accountabilities
* You will respond to fires and other emergency incidents as part of a team.
* Contribute to community safety and emergency preparedness by participating in education and outreach activities.
* Develop and maintain competencies through regular training and drills.
* Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
* Operate specialist equipment safely and effectively.
* Contribute to station upkeep and hygiene.
* Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment.
* Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration.
