About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated HR Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting our people, culture and organisational growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated HR team and make a meaningful impact within a values-driven organisation.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
* Significant experience in a senior Human Resources Management role, preferably within a not for profit organisation.
* Extensive experience in applying contemporary Human Resources practices, strategies and legislative requirements in a diverse range of functions across the employment cycle.
* Experience in successfully managing and leading a team of Human Resources professionals delivering a high level of service
* Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York.
* Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.
* Leadership and management skills with experience in managing complex confidential scenarios with sensitivity, respect and sound judgement.
* Sound interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
* Ability to travel in Cape York either by light aircraft or 4WD as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Human Resources or Business discipline with a focus on human resource.
* Current Queensland Drivers Licence.
* Current Blue Card positive notice or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement.
* Australian Federal Police Check, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement.
