Sales and Technical Support Professional
About the Opportunity
The role involves promoting the sale, service, and aftermarket product support of drilling consumables within a nominated customer base. The focus will be on retaining current business and expanding sales, with an emphasis on Top Hammer products.
Responsibilities include working with account managers to adequately service customers, collaborating with product support managers on product quality and selection, providing monthly business analysis and market activity reports, and reviewing financial performance on a regular basis.
* Work closely with the Rock Tools Sales Manager (West) and relevant Account Managers to ensure excellent customer service.
* Collaborate with the Product Support Manager (PSM) on product quality, product selection, supply, and delivery issues.
* Provide regular business analysis and market activity report updates.
* Initiate and liaise with Sandvik drilling product specialists and drill Masters on Product Development Plans (PDP), product training, product application, and fault diagnosis.
* Review financial performance regularly.
* Control expenses within budget.
* Continually provide drilling solutions and technical support.
* Spent time on drills with operators to understand site operating practices and work with operators and the Drill and Blast teams to improve the performance and life of Sandvik Rock Drilling Tools.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need extensive exposure in either surface and/or underground mining and previous sales experience within the industry. A high energy level and enthusiasm for the products and industry are essential, along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
You must be self-driven to achieve results, commercially astute, and able to offer experienced solutions to customers' requirements.
