Full job description About the Role: We are seeking an adaptable Medical Receptionist to join our busy specialist practice.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth front desk operations, excellent patient service, and support for the clinical team. This is a casual role, requiring availability across 2-3 days per week, with flexibility. The role involves working independently at times and also overseeing other reception staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily reception desk operations. Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner.

Coordinate appointment scheduling, patient flow, and clinical sessions. Handle phone and email enquiries, appointment bookings, and follow-ups. Process Medicare, DVA, and private billing, including EFTPOS and online claims.

Ensure accurate patient data entry and records management. Liaise with Doctors and Sonographers to support smooth clinic function. Order and maintain office and medical supplies.

Contribute to administrative tasks including reminders, document handling (e.g., referrals, correspondence), reconciliation, and other management matters. Assist in implementing and maintaining practice policies and procedures. Handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.

Look after practice interest and patient wellbeing. Requirements: Knowledge of medical software is essential for efficient and accurate patient care management, with experience in

Best Practice software considered and advantage. Good communication skills are essential for this role. Excellent organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

High capacity to function in a team environment. Professional presentation and a customer service mindset. Full work rights in Australia.
