Role
Part-time or full-time Director/Assistant Director – Early Childhood. We're seeking an experienced Director or Assistant Director to join our leadership team in a part-time or full-time role (3, 4 or 5 days a week, negotiable), supporting both the operational running of the centre and the ongoing development of our team and systems. This role is primarily leadership and office-based, while ideally having the ability to step into ratio when needed and remain connected to the daily life of the service.
This position offers genuine opportunity to grow into expanded leadership responsibilities as the centre develops.
What we're looking for
* Ideally has previous experience as an Assistant Director, 2IC, or Centre Director. Holding a Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care would be a bonus
* Is aligned with our Christ-centred mission and confident to model Christian values in a professional early learning setting
* Is confident with compliance, policies, documentation, and service operations
* Has experience using OWNA (or similar childcare management software) for enrolments, communication, and administration
* Is confident communicating with senior leadership and comfortable preparing updates, documentation, and reports for centre management and the governing board
* Builds strong, warm relationships with families, educators, and children
* Approaches leadership with humility, integrity, wisdom, and joy
* Is highly organised, proactive, and solution-focused
* Is comfortable balancing office leadership with occasional classroom support
