Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear‐Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
Technical Authority Manager
This role reports to the Head of Engineering and is critical in setting, maintaining and assuring the technical standards applied across Osborne facilities throughout the asset lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Technical Authority function for Osborne facilities
* Define, apply and maintain technical standards and frameworks across the shipyard lifecycle
* Ensure compliance with engineering policy and nuclear site licence conditions
* Act as the key interface for determination of standards for NPSCY and other Osborne facilities
* Provide assurance of design intent and operational readiness
* Approve and govern technical changes, concessions and configuration management activities
* Assess deviations and direct corrective actions to maintain compliance
* Interface with customers, Design Authorities, regulators and senior stakeholders across defence domains
* Promote technical excellence, continuous improvement and lessons learned across ANI
Qualifications
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain NV1 Defence security clearance
* A degree qualification in an Engineering discipline
* Minimum 10 years' experience in technical authority, senior engineering or equivalent roles
* Experience in nuclear operations and/or nuclear construction (desirable)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem‐solving capability
* Demonstrated initiative, resilience and adaptability in complex operating environments
