Working closely with two experienced colleagues, you'll be part of a supportive buying team of three - not a stand-alone position. This is a role where your input matters and where you'll be empowered to take ownership of your categories while continuing to grow your career.
About the Role
Manage a wide range of categories across a successful supermarket group
Take ownership of supplier relationships, pricing, promotional planning, and terms
Use data and insights to drive merchandising decisions and improve performance
Collaborate with store managers and the marketing team to align commercial and operational goals
Contribute to a business undergoing expansion and continuous improvement
Be part of a team of three, with shared responsibilities and support
About You
Experience in a supermarket buying or category management role is essential
Strong commercial skills and negotiation ability
Exposure to or understanding of merchandise planning
Hands-on, analytical, and confident working in a fast-paced retail environment
Excellent communication and supplier management skills
