TRADE QUALIFIED BUTCHERS and APPRENTICES
(Full time/Part time/Casual)
Are you a master of meat with an eye for quality? Due to a business expansion, Crows Nest Country Butchery is on the hunt for skilled and passionate Retail Butchers to join our team. We are currently hiring, so this is your chance to bring your expertise to a community that values quality meats, craftsmanship, consistency, and exceptional country-style service. We’re seeking experienced and motivated butchers to join our talented team. However, we also welcome applications from 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices who are eager to learn and grow in the trade.
Tasks & responsibilities
· Cut, trim, bone, and portion meat products according to customer orders and display standards
· Assemble and operate mincers, grinders, mixers, patty-forming or sausage-forming machines, and bandsaws
· Prepare sausages, marinated meats, value-added and ready-to-cook dishes
· Provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service and assist with product selection
· Implement and follow all workplace health, safety, and HACCP procedures.
· Be highly focused on Health & Hygiene requirements
Skills & Experience Required
· Trade qualified with relevant industry experience.
· Previous experience in butchering or portion-controlled meat processing.
· Strong knife and cutting skills with attention to detail and consistency.
· Strong eye for detail and commitment to WHS and food hygiene standards.
· Team-focused attitude with good organisation and reliability.
