* Full-time, fixed-term position through to March 2027
* Base salary will be in the range $95,361 - $102, % Superannuation (HEW Level 6)
* Based at our Herston Campus


About This Opportunity


This role plays a key part in shaping an exceptional student experience within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. You will lead the planning and implementation of initiatives that enhance student engagement, foster connection, and create opportunities for students to grow beyond their program of study.

Working collaboratively across the Faculty and the broader University, your contribution will support an inclusive, vibrant learning environment where students are empowered to thrive, develop a sense of belonging, and make the most of their time at UQ.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Develop and implement faculty-wide student engagement strategies, processes, and guidelines for targeted cohorts.
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver student engagement activities, events, and orientation programs to address identified gaps.
* Support and scale recruitment, peer mentoring, volunteer, and leadership initiatives in collaboration with Faculty and School staff.
* Monitor, report on, and support engagement activities and enterprise systems (e.g. Chronus, Student Hub), including committee participation and compliance obligations.

This role is primarily based at the Herston Campus, with some duties undertaken at the St Lucia Campus.

About You

* Relevant undergraduate qualification with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
* Strong analytical, planning, organisational and project management skills.
* High-level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports for diverse audiences.
* Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
* High level of computer literacy, including data extraction and manipulation across multiple systems and software platforms.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while effectively prioritising workload and meeting competing deadlines.

Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, criminal history and blue card checks. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements
