 
        
        The Mount Ommaney Hotel Apartments is located in the leafy western suburbs with 64 guest rooms, conference rooms, guest pool and tennis courts.
A current and exciting opportunity is available for a Hotel Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis. Flexible shifts are available covering both morning and evenings (we are not a 24 hour operation). It would ideally suit someone living locally.
About the Role
The role of a Hotel Receptionist involves ensuring the quality and timely delivery of all accommodation related services with the view of maximizing profits whilst ensuring guest satisfaction.
The responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Create a positive first impression and ensure guests are greeted in a warm and friendly manner.
- Handle guest queries and complaints in a professional manner ensuring guest satisfaction
- Understand and accurately complete all guest reservations via phone, email or online.
- Assist onsite Managers with day to day front office operations
Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will have an interest in customer service and will also reflect the following selection criteria:
- Previous experience within the Guest Services area
- Excellent customer service skills including an ability to handle in a professional manner queries, complaints and any difficult situations which may arise
- Sound knowledge of computer systems, PMS and OTA extranets
- Previous experience with cash handling and transaction handling
- Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by the business requirements
