FIFO Opportunity – Weipa, Far North Queensland
Xtremecare Allied Health is recruiting a qualified Speech Therapist to join our team in a unique FIFO role delivering meaningful speech pathology services to paediatric clients in the Western Cape Region of Far North Queensland. You will be required to travel to Weipa on a 2-week on/off roster to deliver speech therapy services in various community settings and our Weipa clinic/office. Please note this roster is negotiable.
As a valued team member, you will be supported by an experienced remote service multidisciplinary team and receive daily support and mentoring while working in a culturally diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver contemporary, evidence-based speech pathology services, including assessment, therapy planning, implementation, and evaluation for clients with a wide range of conditions
* Collaborate closely with participants, families, and caregivers to develop, implement, and review meaningful, goal-focused therapy plans
* Select, develop, and tailor augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, devices, programs, and resources
* Build strong therapeutic relationships and communicate effectively with participants, families, carers, and community stakeholders
* Contribute to the co-design and delivery of individual and group therapy programs
* Prepare high-quality clinical reports and management plans incorporating innovative and practical strategies for use at home, school, and in the workplace
* Participate in community outreach activities, including short-distance travel
* Maintain accurate clinical records using Allied Health management systems (e.g. Nookal) and Microsoft Office
* Ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, including reporting and assistive technology processes

Essential Criteria
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
* Current Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or the ability to obtain
* Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain
* Current Police Check or the ability to obtain one
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
