Overview

Beyond running a kitchen, this role is the conductor of a 5-course symphony at DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront. The hotel is situated on the edge of the Swan River, adjoining Barrack Square and the Elizabeth Quay precinct. It features 229 rooms and outlets including Reel Kitchen and 18 Knots Rooftop Bar, along with banquet facilities.

DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront was honoured with the Superior Accommodation Award from the Australian Hotel Association of Western Australia (AHA WA) in 2023. In the same year, Reel Kitchen received the Contemporary Cuisine Award, followed by the WA All Abilities Award and the WA Guest Services Team Award in 2024.

Responsibilities

* Lead briefings, support the kitchen team, manage event flow, and keep leadership aligned.
* Inspire your team, welcome new talent, shape menus with smart costing, and maintain cross-department communication.
* Deliver fast, safe, and tailored service—solving guest dietary needs with confidence and care.
* Maintain a professional appearance, uphold high hygiene standards, and champion quality at every step.
* Monitor waste and champion Hilton's "Travel with Purpose" by refusing, reducing, reusing, and recycling.

About You

* Have at least 12 months of full Australian Working rights (sponsorship is not offered).
* Physically based in the Perth Metropolitan Area or willing to relocate (no relocation allowance is provided).
* A seasoned CDP with hotel experience, hungry for the next big step in their culinary journey.
* Flexible for weekends and evenings—and ready to start right away.
* Champion transparency, lead with integrity, and thrive through teamwork.
