We are a small florist located in North Canberra, known for our quality blooms and personalised customer service. We have a small close-knit team and a genuine passion for creating beautiful work.
This role is available on a full-time basis (5 days per week), with flexibility to consider a part-time arrangement of 3–4 days per week for the right candidate.
The role involves creating bouquets, arrangements, event pieces and sympathy work as well as providing warm & professional customer service both in-store and over the phone. Daily responsibilities also include operating the POS, assisting with online orders, preparing items for delivery, conditioning and maintaining fresh flower stock and keeping the store clean, organised and visually appealing. You'll also support the team through busy floral periods such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years' experience working in a retail florist environment who can confidently design and create beautiful floral work. The right person will work well independently and within a small team, be reliable and consistent with their work days and have a friendly, customer-focused approach. You should be comfortable working under time pressure, physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting buckets or boxes etc
