Senior Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design, deployment and maintenance of our secure data management platform in defence environments.
* Architect and maintain a resilient Linux server environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access management (IAM) and network configurations to ensure secure access to resources.
* Configure and manage firewalls, routers and switches, including VLANs, DNS and IAM integration to optimize network performance.
* Lead ongoing system maintenance, software installation, configuration, integrated testing and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations.
* Assist end users by addressing technical inquiries and resolving access or configuration issues promptly.
* Oversee patch management, configuration compliance, change control and vulnerability mitigation to minimize risks.
* Implement system hardening in alignment with security best practices and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
* Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders; provide technical updates and recommendations to leadership to drive business outcomes.
* Maintain production Kubernetes clusters across multiple on-premises environments, including deployment, scaling, monitoring and troubleshooting for containerized applications.
Requirements
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system administration or IT infrastructure.
* Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
* Proven expertise in Active Directory and Linux system administration.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python.
* CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on networking experience.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
* Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV2 security clearance.
