Company & Location:
An Australian company that designs and builds special-purpose equipment used within a number of medium to heavy-industrial engineering sectors.
They are looking to hire 2 x Industrial Electricians / Electrical Fitters to work within the plant/shop floor. Hours are generally 6 am to 2 pm, with plenty of overtime available and a 2-and-a-half-day weekend - lunch time finish on Friday. A hands-on position would suit an electrical and electronic tradesperson who enjoys assembling, installing, wiring, and testing a wide range of electrical equipment.
Daily Tasks:
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and schematics (single-line and wiring diagrams).
* Diagnose and solve problems on 12V/24V DC and 240V AC systems.
* Follow project-specific drawings and schematics for inspection, testing, wiring, cabling, installation, electrical assembly, and commissioning of equipment.
* Work on PLC-controlled components, sensors, relays, and company control systems, as well as 3rd party electrical components, wiring up, and running of looms.
* Electrical assembly and wiring of large Switchboards, HV/LV Kiosks, Motor Control Centres, Distribution Boards, Communication Racks, Protection Panels, and more.
* Communicate with Electrical Engineers and teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and company quality procedures.
* Working comfortably on own and part of a team.
* Having a voice in toolbox meetings.
You, Hours & Pay:
* Current NSW Electrical Licence (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across low-voltage and control systems.
* Experience with PLCs, VSDs, relays, and control units is highly regarded.
* Monday to Thursday 32 hours, 8-hour days, then time & a half & double time.
* Fridays are 4 hours, then time and a half, and double time.
* 10 hours a week OTE = $2750 a week, $11,000 a month, $100k base + up to $30k in OTE, no travel, work on the shop floor.
