About the role
Dawsons Engineering is seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at a mine site in North West Queensland. As a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of light vehicles to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting scheduled and unscheduled services and inspections on light vehicles
* Diagnosing and repairing faults in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
* Completing Wheel Alignments and Tyre changes
* Diagnostic and Fault Finding
* Auto Wiring and installation
* Adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
* Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the efficient operation of the workshop
What we're looking for
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic in a similar role
* Vehicle Air Conditioning ticket preferred
* A current driver's licence - MR or HR preferred
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in using a range of specialized tools and equipment
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
* Good communication and customer service skills
