Job Title: Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Mission Systems program. As the technical leader, you will be responsible for managing technical resources, ensuring service delivery and fulfilling KBR's obligations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant disciplines, standards, and best practices, including digital engineering. You will be expected to anticipate future resource demands and skills shortages, ensuring capability growth and advising Program and Project Managers on workforce conflicts and optimal outcomes for the program and KBR.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage technical resources for the Mission Systems program
* Manage key capability teams: System Engineering, Network and Server Operation, Configuration Management, Software Support, System Security and Accreditation, and System Administration
* Anticipate future resource demands and skills shortages, ensuring capability growth
* Advise Program and Project Managers on workforce conflicts and optimal outcomes for the program and KBR
Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree in engineering appropriate to a core discipline
* Established or eligible for professional registration in an Australian jurisdiction
* Chartered engineering status is highly desirable
* Minimum 15 years' experience
* Proven engineering leadership and management experience in complex programs
* Experience of managing multidisciplinary capability teams in a defence or other assured regulated industry context
* Proven people leadership and resource management, including good understanding of competences, capability, and capacity management
* Postgraduate qualification is desirable
* Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance
