Administration Officer – Intermediate Stay Mental Health Unit
Join the friendly team at the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). As an Administration Officer, you will provide vital administrative and clerical support to our team in the Intermediate Stay Mental Health Unit (ISMHU).

Remuneration:
$71,****** – $73,****** per annum + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Responsibilities
Deliver a range of administrative and clerical support services to ensure the smooth operation of the Unit.
Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to nursing, allied health, and medical staff.
Support communication between staff, patients, and families with professionalism and compassion.
Manage general enquiries, record keeping, and data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
Assist in scheduling, documentation, and coordination of ward activities.
About You
Proven experience in administrative or clerical roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency with computer systems and confidence in learning new programmes.
A friendly, team-focused attitude and a commitment to patient-centred care.

Additional Information
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent and temporary vacancies.
To be eligible for permanent employment you must be an Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Temporary visa holders may only be considered if no suitable local candidate is identified.
