Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist


Job Description:

This is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for owning end-to-end payroll procedures for our global workforce. The successful candidate will be the go-to expert for financial transactions and ensure seamless processing of accounts payable and receivable.

* Process fortnightly Australian, UK, and US accounts payable.
* Invoice and manage accounts receivable.
* Prepare Australian fortnightly payroll using Xero (approximately 120 employees).
* Submit Australian super reporting obligations and payment.
* Review US (twice monthly) and UK (monthly) payroll using Xero & Gusto (approximately 35 global employees).
* Prepare Australian bank reconciliations.


Reporting & Operations:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

* Preparing monthly BAS statements.
* Preparation of payroll tax returns (SA, ACT, NSW, VIC).
* Creating ad-hoc reports on payroll, KPIs, budget holders, accounts payable, etc.
* Leaving management support to HR.
* Assisting staff with payroll and finance queries.
* Managing the internal mailbox and responding to inquiries.
* Overseeing accounts payable software (Zahara), setting up vendors, and delegating tasks.
* Assisting accountants with stakeholder reporting, grant applications, FBT return preparation, and audit requirements.
* Supporting accountants in month-end tasks.
* Participating in process improvements and implementation.
* Preparing ESOP letters and Investor Packs.
* Completing ABS Surveys.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Proficiency in Excel.
* Certificates or degrees in accounting or finance are desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills, ability to suggest improvements, and work as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
* Willingness to learn and adapt.

A strong background in entry-level finance or accounting roles, Australian payroll management, preferably in Xero, is highly advantageous.
