Primary objective
Contribute to the development of contemporary practice and policy in Community Corrections through the conduct of
reviews and amendments to policy and procedures and the provision of timely and efficient project management and
implementation of related projects.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Review and amend existing practice, operational procedures and guidelines to ensure they are current, complete and
meet operational needs.
2. Develop innovative, forward-thinking solutions to all aspects of the business.
3. Provide project management support by assisting in the development and implementation of strategic projects.
4. Provide high level assistance with the implementation of continuous improvement across Community Corrections.
5. Prepare reports, policy documents, correspondence and submissions associated with projects, evaluations and research.
6. Conduct other duties as required, including research.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in project management and policy development.
2. Proven experience managing multiple projects and achieving required objectives.
3. Demonstrated experience in the use of a range of computer software, including Power BI (and other Microsoft products),
and the use, development and management of databases.
4. Demonstrated experience in implementing innovative solutions within a government or similar environment.
5. A proven ability to research and critique policy and programs, including development of risk management plans and
negotiation of solutions.
6. Proven interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication skills of a high order including demonstrated ability to
work effectively in a cross-cultural workplace.
7. Proven initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently, perform effectively under pressure, meet
deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
8. Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving and lateral thinking in the evaluation and development of innovative
options.
